Breast Cancer Awareness
Sigma Lambda Gamma and its member groups actively support the important societal issue of Breast Cancer Awareness. Our organization works with several programs in respects to breast cancer awareness. Historically, the Beta Epsilon Chapter has also donated to the Breast Cancer Support Group at the YWCA in Carlisle, PA. |
Trio Programs
The Federal TRIO Programs (TRIO) are Federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. TRIO includes eight programs targeted to serve and assist low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities to progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to post-baccalaureate programs. TRIO also includes a training program for directors and staff of TRIO projects. |

Gammas participate in the nationwide campaign, “National Wear Red Day,” brought to us by the American Heart Association. Our chapter brings the Dickinson community together to wear red in support of Heart Disease. Through tabling and Instagram, we educate as many people as we can about the facts of Heart Disease. Heart Disease is the number one killer of Women in the country, even more deadly than all kinds of Cancer. |

The Sigma Lambda Gamma Education Foundation serves as the philanthropic entity for Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority.
